Every Week:
Ocean Grille: Live Music on Tuesdays and Fridays
Gecko Gazebo: “Open Mike Night” on Wednesdays from December through April: local talent (and island visitors!) serenade, croon and jam from 7 pm – 10 pm
The Tap Room: Reggae Fridays w/ DJ 8-12 and Beer Pong Saturdays 8 -12
Monthly:
Bajo el Sol - Selected Artist Reception January thru June on the first Friday of each month.
Annual Events:
May: Music in the Moonlight hosted by Gecko Gazebo, is where many locally talented (and visitors) and bands play their own styles of music, - we are always astounded by some we didn’t even know could sing!
July 4th: Mongoose Junction is the very best place to watch the St John Festival Annual Fourth of July Parade, starting at 11:am
October: All shops and offices open their doors and baskets of candy as all school kids are welcomed to Trick or Treat on Halloween between 3 – 5 pm
November: The Friday after Thanksgiving is “Evening in the Courtyard” when all stores kick off the Holidays with late night shopping (until 9 pm during high season, live music, special in store offerings, and a wonderful time for island visitors and locals to hang out at Mongoose Junction.
December: The biggest party of the year is hosted at Mongoose Junction on (normally) the second Saturday in December. It’s our “All Island Holiday Party,” and our Mongoose Junction restaurants offer free samplings of their food in the Courtyard, Bougainvillea has their annual Fashion Show, and hundreds of locals and visitors come to listen and dance the night away to live reggae or “scratch” music.
